2023 Boise City VOting Information

IN 2023, ALL OF BOISE VOTES BY COUNCIL DISTRICT. THE MAPS ARE NEW THIS YEAR - USE THE MAP TO FIND YOUR DISTRICT! I’M RUNNING IN DISTRICT 5 (THE YELLOW DISTRICT ON THE MAP!)

EARLY VOTING

You can vote early in-person at Boise City Hall (150 N Capitol Blvd) or Ada County Elections by the Driver’s License office (400 N Benjamin Ln) October 23rd - November 3rd, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

MOBILE VOTING UNIT

Ada County’s Mobile Vote Truck (aka food truck voting!) will be at various locations across Ada County from 10am - 5pm. See the locations here:

ALL ADA COUNTY VOTERS CAN VOTE AT ANY EARLY OR MOBILE VOTING UNIT LOCATION, REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU LIVE IN ADA COUNTY!

If I request an absentee ballot, can I still vote in person?

  • Yes! If you request an absentee ballot and decide you’d like to vote in person, you can take your ballot into your polling place and they will give you a new ballot to vote there.

How do I return my absentee ballot?

  • You need to sign your ballot envelope before you turn it in!

  • Once you sign, you can put it in the mail (and get it in as soon as possible - ballots have to be in hand at Ada County Elections by the time the polls close. Ballots postmarked by November 7 will not count if the Elections office doesn’t have them.)

  • If you want to hand-deliver it (or if you run out of time), you can turn it into one of the secure election drop boxes at Ada County Elections on Benjamin, or at the drop boxes outside the City Halls in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, or Star. Any Ada County voter can turn their ballot in at any of these locations.

Where do I vote on Election Day?

  • You can check your polling place and your registration status here.

Can I register to vote at the polls?

What do I need to bring to the polls?

  • If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to bring an ID. You can sign an affidavit instead of providing an ID.

  • If you’re not already registered and will be registering at the polls, bring a valid photo ID and proof of residency.

Has the county received my absentee ballot?

  • You can check the status of your absentee ballot here.

When should I expect my ballot?

  • Ballots will be sent out on a rolling basis as voters request them. Expect to receive your ballot in 7-10 days after requesting it. You can check the status of your ballot here.
